Database / Application Administrator

Functieomschrijving:

As a Database / Application Administrator  you will configure, install and maintain database software, application infrastructure and architecture, applicable hardware and systems according to specified level of quality. You will prevent and solve interfences and implement policies and procedures. You also will monitor and analyse database and application performance in relation with business processes, report and take corrective actions when required. Besides managing and administrating service contracts and licenses, you will also install and tests software and hardware upgrades related to database systems and application infrastructure and participate in small and medium sized ICT projects.

Furthermore, you will report regularly to the Section Head on project/ personal achievements and corporate/section matters.

Functie-eisen:

We are looking for a good communicator with good planning, organisational skills. You are analytically strong and client oriented. Furthermore:

• You have a Bachelor degree in ICT/Informatics.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in database administration.
• Technical expertise in database replication technologies.
• Technical knowledge of relevant database systems (ORACLE / MS SQL).
• Understanding of application server technologies.
• Is a Microsoft Certified System Administrator; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft systems and office applications.
• Any experience with Maximo, MS Dynamics or MS Sharepoint is a pre.
• Good understanding of the English language. Verbally as well as in writing.
• Good understanding of the Dutch language. Verbally as well as in writing.
