Senior SAP Fi/Co functional consultant

The ICT Department has 50 employees and is responsible for the ICT within G-Star worldwide. Due to the expansion of our team, the Information Systems department is looking for a SAP Fi/Co Functional Consultant. G-Star has a wide range of customized and standard applications. Over the coming years customized applications will be replaced by standard packages where possible.

In an independent role you are responsible for all SAP Fi/Co configurations and will participate in the planned projects. He/she will be responsible for the customizing, and the access and proper use of the systems within Finance & administration. Furthermore he/she knows the possibilities of the application and advises G-Star on how to use it in the most efficient way. We aim to find a highly motivated person who is self-starting and thrives in a high paced demanding and environment. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

• gather customer requirements: Judge them on feasibility and impact within the (standard) SAP possibilities
• develop solutions and implement the changes (SAP customizations within standard)
• answer user questions and resolve incidents on SAP Fi/Co
• provide training to employees on SAP Fi/Co
• keep standards in system changes through review, advice and acceptance of the specifications of the proposed system changes
• perform functional testing and support user acceptance test
• release management
• establish and maintain documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• minimal 7 years of experience with SAP Fi/Co
• up to date SAP Fi/Co knowledge
• preferably experience or background in financial accounting
• knowledge of BPC, Copa, FSCM as well as authorizations is an advantage
• configuration and customizing skills in SAP Fi/Co
• knowledge of ABAP/4, smart forms and LSMW is an advantage as well as basic knowledge of logistic processes within SAP
• experience with different kinds of testing, a.o. regression tests, stress tests, system tests and functional acceptance test is an advantage
• knowledge of SQL and with MS Office products
• willing and capable of training colleagues on the job
• strong focus on result and the ability to work independent
• excellent soft skills; open personality, strong in communication, service oriented
• fluent in English and preferably also in Dutch.
