Software Engineer - Test Automation

Each application is developed by a project team consisting of developers, software quality engineers, geotechnical engineers and scientists, which makes for a stimulating and informal working environment. Throughout the entire development process of these geomechanical applications, different software applications for quality assurance are being used to verify and ensure the quality level of the Plaxis 2D and 3D software programs. The current main quality assurance tool is a tool for GUI Automation and Testing.

• You will utilize innovative test technologies to develop a product's testing strategy
• Your task will be to develop and maintain the automated testing framework (JavaScript)
• Get input for new testing procedures
• Collaborate with others to develop new tests and plan new (test automation)
development.

These quality assurance applications are a vital part in any release process of the Plaxis 2D and 3D software packages. Knowledge of the Plaxis 2D and/or 3D software packages is not mandatory.

Functie-eisen:

• Experience with object oriented programming, preferably in a dynamic programming
language like JavaScript, Python, Ruby, and/or VB.Net.
• Experience with (GUI) automation tools, like Smartbear Software’s TestComplete, is
an asset.
• Independent: you should be capable of scheduling and mastering your tasks and
making designs on your own, like test automation, test plans and procedures
• Be able to convert existing manual test cases to relevant automated test cases
• Ability to maintain and renew the test frameworks and test cases as and when
• required
• Team player: working together with other specialists an professionals inside and
• outside Plaxis is key for making your task a success.
• Affinity with geotechnics would be an asset, but is not mandatory.
• Bachelor Degree or Master's Degree in e.g. Computer science
